Who We Are

DexMetal LLC operates dexmetal.com and provides Basel Convention compliance information, tools, and workflow support for e-waste, metals, reusable components, and related circular trade activity.

Information We Collect

We may collect information you submit through forms, email links, downloadable resources, tool inputs, newsletter or checklist requests, and direct communication. This may include your name, email address, company, country, shipment context, waste or product descriptions, and the question or request you send to us.

We may also collect basic technical information such as browser type, device data, pages viewed, referral source, IP address, and approximate location for security, analytics, troubleshooting, and site improvement.

How We Use Information

We use information to respond to questions, provide requested resources, operate and improve our tools, protect the site, measure audience interest, maintain records of user requests, and provide requested DexMetal services. We do not knowingly sell personal information for money. We do use service providers described below to host, secure, measure, and communicate through the service.

Cookies and Third Parties

DexMetal uses PostHog for limited product analytics on selected pages, including the Shipment Route Check. PostHog is configured in cookieless mode for this use, with person profiles disabled, session recording disabled, automatic capture disabled, and Do Not Track respected. DexMetal currently sends these analytics events to PostHog's U.S. cloud endpoint. We use Sentry for error and performance monitoring with default personal-information collection disabled and request bodies, cookies, headers, query strings, and user fields removed before events are sent. We do not currently use Google Analytics or Meta Pixel in the production application.

Resend processes email addresses and message delivery data when we send requested resources, confirmations, or replies. Certain download forms may also record the name, email address, source, and timestamp in a DexMetal-controlled Google Sheet. Route Check requests are stored in a private server-side record and may trigger internal alerts through Telegram. Hosting and infrastructure providers necessarily process ordinary server and network logs to operate and secure the service.

Legal Basis and International Users

Where data-protection law such as the GDPR applies, DexMetal processes personal data as needed to respond to your request or provide a requested service, for legitimate interests such as security, troubleshooting, service improvement, and business record keeping, or with consent where consent is required. If you are in a jurisdiction that gives you additional privacy rights, you may contact us to exercise those rights.

Compliance and Shipment Information

If you submit shipment, waste classification, competent authority, or notification details, do not include confidential business information unless necessary for your request. DexMetal tools are for information and workflow support only. They do not replace legal advice, regulator instructions, or competent authority determinations.

Retention and Security

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, business records, security, legal compliance, or dispute prevention. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no website or internet transmission is guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your Choices

You may request access, correction, deletion, or limitation of personal information you have provided, subject to legal and operational limits. You may also unsubscribe from marketing communications. We do not currently offer recurring paid subscriptions through dexmetal.com.
